You are welcome!

Turtle Life Support is a proud accredited first aid training provider. Please see our official accreditation letter here.

Value proposition

Our accredited first aid skills programmes have been designed for the convenience of time. Our innovative approach requires setting aside just one-day for the practical component. Candidates complete an online theory course before attending a mandatory practical skills workshop. Here are 10 reasons to train with Turtle Life Support. Read our customer reviews here.

How it works

The number of candidates booked determines the venue requirements. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 30 candidates in two venues. See this form for the venue requirements.

The online theory course is structured into convenient modules comprising of 15 to 30 minute lessons. After each lesson a quiz is completed as part of the continuous assessment process.

The online theory course is required to be completed before the practical skills workshop.

We will send the course coordinator bi-weekly progress reports leading up to the practical skills workshop.

An in-person-one-day practical skills workshop includes scenario-based teaching and specific skills instruction. This approach provides candidates with a valuable opportunity to practice and master theoretical concepts learnt online.

  1. Completion of the online theory course.
  2. Mandatory attendance to the practical skills workshop.
  3. An official ID (smart ID card, green ID book, original birth certificate or valid passport).
  4. Foreign nationals: the Regulator requires a valid work/student permit.
  5. Achieving at least 70% for the summative assessment, written during the practical skills workshop.
  6. Mastering the skills section: don’t stress, we’re good at what we do, and your friends will help if needed.
  1. We do not print certificates because of these reasons. Certificates are issued as PDF documents.
  2. We will issue a batch of all certificates to the course coordinator within 7 working days of the practical skills workshop.
  3. Individuals candidates will be sent their personal digital certificate within 14 days of the practical skills workshop.
  1. Candidates who do not complete the online course before the practical skills workshop will have 30 days to complete the course to avoid de-registration and course fees forfeiture.
  2. Candidates are requested to email Turtle Life Support when they have completed the online course. We’ll issue their digital certificate within 7 days.
  3. Candidates who do not attend the practical skills workshop may attend an alternate workshop within 6 months of original registration to avoid de-registration and course fees forfeiture. The candidate should contact Turtle Life Support to make this arrangement.

At times our emails are redirected to Junk/Spam because a similar SUBJECT is used in all our correspondence. Please ask your IT department to whitelist our email addresses to avoid this from happening: admin@onlinefirstaid.co.za, adminsupport@onlinefirstaid.co.za, barry@onlinefirstaid.co.za, and fiona@onlinefirstaid.co.za.

Provided the certification requirements have been met (see above), certificates will be issued within 7 working days. Please note full payment is required before certificates are issued.

In the event of a candidate being substituted by another candidate, a two-hundred-rand (R200) substitution fee will be levied. No substitutions will be permitted after the practical skills workshop date.

Course fees will be forfeited if the candidate does not access the course within six months of enrolment or fails to attend the practical skills workshop within the same period. No refunds, substitutions, or extensions will be granted beyond this timeframe. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure timely participation in both the online and practical components of the course.

Once the practical skills workshop date has been confirmed, we are obliged to honour the course booking. This inevitably means other course enquiries for that date are turned away. Whilst the reason for postponement or cancellation may be valid, Turtle Life Support cannot retrieve enquiries that have been turned away.

    • Course postponements should be emailed to admin@onlinefirstaid.co.za
    • More than 30 days from the date of the practical skills workshop: an administration rebooking fee of five-hundred-rand (R500) will apply.
    • Less than 30 days of the practical skills workshop: an administration fee of three-thousand five-hundred-rand (R3500) will apply for postponements
